Your Onboarding Journey
Over the next 90 days, you’ll be immersed in a series of activities designed to help you learn more about Granicus, develop connections throughout the organization, and begin to make an impact so that you can excel in your role.
Take some time to explore the timeline below to discover how your onboarding experience will unfold.
Welcome to Granicus
During your first day, we want to ensure that you have a welcoming first impression. You’ll begin your onboarding journey by exploring Granicus. You’ll uncover more about who we are, what we do, and where we’re headed. And you’ll meet some great people along the way.
You’ll also receive access to Granicus systems, learn how to set up your accounts, and identify ways to get IT-related support when you need it.
To round out the day, you’ll meet with both your manager and your buddy to start your most critical relationships off with solid footing.
Getting Familiar
For the rest of your first week, you’ll learn more about the company structure, core teams, and how your position fits into the bigger picture.
You’ll also discover more about Granicus in your specific region and how to get the support you need to be successful in your role.
You’ll be able to discuss the impact Granicus has on the government by explaining who we serve and how we serve them.
If there’s one thing you’ll hear most often during your first week, it’s that the work we do matters. And you’re a big part of that.
By the end of Week 1, you’ll be able to clearly define how your role supports Granicus’ mission and vision.
Starting to Identify
The second week of your onboarding journey gives you lots of insight into Granicus’s products and services.
In Week 3, you’ll discover ways to get connected, identify who is in your sphere of influence, and uncover how you can make an impact in other areas of the organization outside of your specific role as you are immersed in Granicus’s culture.
And in Week 4, you’ll learn about our Employee Resources Groups (ERGs), best practices for working remotely on a global team, and ways that you can foster an inclusive environment.
By the end of your first month, you’ll know your way around the company, be making lots of good connections, and feel like you’re part of the team!
Gaining Confidence
The goal of your second month with Granicus is to make sure you have the confidence necessary to excel in your role. To help you achieve that, your onboarding activities are designed to help you transition from learning about the company, and your role within it, to taking initiative to fulfill your potential.
There’s a ton of opportunity at Granicus, and in Month 2, you’ll put a plan in motion to go out and seize it. This begins with setting 30-, 60-, and 90-day goals with your manager and learning how your performance and progress is measured.
You’ll also start planning for how you want your career (and future) to grow and begin uncovering resources that can support you on your career path.
Ready to Excel
As your onboarding journey wraps up, we want you to feel excited for your future with Granicus and know that you have the support and commitment to achieve your goals.
Month 3 is dedicated to allowing you to assess your skill levels, create an individual development plan, and set your mid and long-term career development goals.
You’ll do this as you make strides in your day-to-day work.
You’ll wrap up your first major milestone at Granicus with a celebration. You’ve got a bright future ahead of you and we can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Beyond Onboarding
Your onboarding doesn’t just end at Day 90. We’ll be checking in several times over the next few months to make sure that you are getting the support you need to be successful in your role.
You can expect to check-in with your HR Business Partner in Month 4 and connect with the Learning & Development team in Month 5. You’ll also receive added training and support as we approach your first formal performance review.
At any time between these periodic check-ins, you can reach out for support via email or MS Teams.
